  • Marinate the mackerel in red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt as required. Heat oil in a pan and fry both sides until cooked, then convert into a plate.
  • Heat oil in the same pan and sauté onion in it. Add salt as required.
  • When the onion turns light brown in colour, add crushed ginger garlic and green chillies. Saute till the raw smell goes off.
  • Then add tomato, pepper powder and garam masala. Combine and saute for 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove the bones and shred the fish using a fork. Add it into the masala. Mix well.
  • Add cooked rice (you can add any kind of cooked rice ) and combine well. Turn off the flame.
  • Tasty Mackerel rice is ready now..
