Mackerel Rice is a great one-pan family meal that’s tasty and healthy too. You can add more spices, add more ginger and flavorings at the start for a very tasty meal as per your requirement. This is the prefect dish to relish if you are counting on calories but still wants to enjoy a highly satisfying wholesome meal. Mackerel fishes are very nutritious, rich in vital nutrients required for body. Mackerel is rich in Omega -3 oils. Mackerel has a firm texture like canned Tuna, so that it can be flaked without falling apart. Remove all bones from the fish especially if kids are savoring the dish. Mackerel Rice is one of the easiest of sea food dishes you can enjoy with your family. Marinate the mackerel in red chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt as required. Heat oil in a pan and fry both sides until cooked, then convert into a plate.
Heat oil in the same pan and sauté onion in it. Add salt as required.
