Instructions
  1. soak the idly rice and maize / makka cholam for 4 hours
  2. soak the urad dal and add with maize and grind as batter and allow to get fermented
  3. finely chop the onion
  4. in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and bengal gram
  5. add chopped onion and saute it until it get brown
  6. transfer the onion into maize batter and add turmeric powder, finely chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves
  7. mix well
  8. heat the dosa tawa and pour and make a shape like dosa
  9. once it get cook one side turn it and apply oil
  10. now maize / makka cholam adai is ready to serve, serve with tomato chutney and coconut chutney
