Instructions
 

  • Semi roast Bengal gram in a pan.
  • :- Make sure it doesn`t get burnt.
  • Grind it to a fine powder.
  • Mix it with the powdered sugar and keep it aside in a bowl.
  • Melt the ghee in another pan.
  • Add the above ghee into the mixture in the bowl and mix well so as to form a dough.
  • Make small balls off the above dough.
  • :- Store them in a tight container.

    maaladu is made with dalia split peas ( pottu kadala).bengal gram doesn`t give that taste.

    Traditional Maaladu is made with Pottu kadala….That makes it light and fluffy….it really melts in your mouth…With kadala parippu…I think it will not be good 🙁
