Instructions
  1. Wash and cook the dal in a pressure cooker with turmeric powder, salt and water.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add chopped onion. Saute till it turns light brown in colour.
  4. Grind ginger, garlic and green chillies together.
  5. Add the above masala to the fried onion.
  6. Add chopped tomato and saute well.
  7. Cover and cook until the onion and tomatoes become soft.
  8. Add cooked dal to the above masala and mix well.
  9. Add some coriander leaves.
  10. Transfer the contents to a serving bowl and serve.
  11. :- This dal curry tastes delicious with white rice like basmati rice, ponni rice, kolam rice.
