Mathanga Thoran
a sweet side dish you can take with rice. Pumpkin is a very versatile vegetable. It has a special place in Kerala cooking and we have lots of recipes with it.

onion

Green chillies

tablespoon
Coconut oil
1
teaspoon
Turmeric powder
Curry leaves
2
tablespoon
Grated
coconut
1
teaspoon
Kaduku uluva
5
Garlic
chopped
1
tablespoon
Pepper
Jeerakam
a pinch
Salt
for taste
Instructions
Add
oil
in a pan and add
green chillies
, small
onion
,
curry leaves
and saute it well
Now add the mathanga to it and saute well
Then add crushed pepper,
garlic
,
turmeric powder
, jeerakam and mix well.
Sprinkle some
water
in it and cook in a medium flame.
Add the grated
coconut
to this and mix well and remove from fire.
