Ingredients

Green peas
Mattar
1
cup
Gram flour
Kadalapodi
2 1/2
cups
Wheat flour
1
tbsp
Olive
oil
or any cooking
oil
1

Onion
finely chopped

Green chillies
finely chopped
or
Red chilly powder
As reqd
1/2
tsp
Ajwain or
Cumin seeds
Salt
As reqd
Oil
to shallow fry
Instructions
Boil the peas till tender.
:- You can also cook them in the microwave.
Add 1/2 a cup
water
to peas and crush them into a paste in a mixer.
Mix peas paste,
gram flour
, atta, olive
oil
, chillies,
onion
, ajwain and
salt
in a bowl and knead into a dough, adding more
water
as required.
With this dough, make 4 mm thickness round about 4" diameter(like a plain roti).
Apply 1/2 tsp of
oil
or
ghee
and spread all over with spoon or fingers.
Fold it into a triangle and roll it again.
Heat griddle (tawa) and place paratha on it.
Turn to roast other side.
Put a little
ghee
on both sides and shallow fry till crisp.
:- Serve hot with any desired accompaniment.
:- Don`t put
oil
in between the roti if you want to avoid
oil
. You can use
ghee
or any
oil
of your choice.
