Mattar Paratha Paratha with green peas 1 cup Green peas (Mattar)1 cup Gram flour (Kadalapodi)2 1/2 cups Wheat flour1 tbsp Olive oil or any cooking oil1 no Onion (finely chopped)2 - Green chillies (finely chopped)or Red chilly powder (As reqd)1/2 tsp Ajwain or Cumin seedsSalt (As reqd)Oil to shallow fry Boil the peas till tender.:- You can also cook them in the microwave.Add 1/2 a cup water to peas and crush them into a paste in a mixer.Mix peas paste, gram flour, atta, olive oil, chillies, onion, ajwain and salt in a bowl and knead into a dough, adding more water as required.With this dough, make 4 mm thickness round about 4" diameter(like a plain roti). Apply 1/2 tsp of oil or ghee and spread all over with spoon or fingers.Fold it into a triangle and roll it again.Heat griddle (tawa) and place paratha on it. Turn to roast other side. Put a little ghee on both sides and shallow fry till crisp. :- Serve hot with any desired accompaniment.:- Don`t put oil in between the roti if you want to avoid oil.
