When it is done, add curry leaves, smashed garlic, coconut oil on the top of the curry and close the pot with a lid so that the garlic gets cooked in the hot curry itself.
Notes
Don't put a spoon in the curry while preparing as the fish may get smashed. But keep checking that the curry doesn't get stuck to the bottom of manchatti, so just twist the manchatti by hand while preparing. Mackeral or Sardine tastes good when prepared in this way. Also other fishes can be tried in the same way.
