Methi Pulav - Tamil Nadu Style

Ingredients

Cooked Rice

Oil
1
spoon
Mustard
4-5
nos
Methi seeds
2
big
Methi leaves
venthaya keerai
1
cup
Green peas
5
nos
Red chilli
2
tsp
Coriander seeds
1
tsp
Bengal gram
Turmeric powder
as reqd
Salt
to taste
Instructions
Heat
oil
on the tava and fry the red chilli,
coriander seeds
,
bengal gram
and grind it to a powder and keep it aside.
Cut the methi leaves into separate leaves.
Cook the
green peas
.
Heat some more
oil
, put the
mustard seeds
, methi seeds and fry it in low flame for few seconds.
Add methi leaves,
salt
,
turmeric
and allow to cook.
Add the grinded powder and fry for a minute.
Mix the cooked peas and add the cooked rice.
:- Serve it hot!!! :- Its better when we add more methi leaves and its surely not bitter.
