Microwave Suji-Semolina Halwa
Roasted
semolina
mixed with
sugar
syrup and cooked in microwave

Semolina
Rava

Banana
cut into small pieces
1
cup
Water
Saffron
Few strands
1
tsp
Milk
¼
cup
Sugar
½
tblsp
Ghee
1
tsp
Raisins
2
tsp
Cashews
1no
Cardamom
crushed
Instructions
For preparing microwave sooji/
semolina
halwa, melt half of the
ghee
in a non stick pan and roast the
raisins
and cashew. Remove from the
ghee
and keep aside.
Fry the
semolina
in the same pan till light brown. Allow to cool.
Put a deep bottomed pan and add hot
water
,
banana
, roasted
semolina
sugar
and
cardamom
. Mix well.
Soak
saffron
in
milk
for 10 minutes and add into the above mixture. Combine well.
Transfer the
semolina
mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly. Garnish with the roasted
raisins
and cashews.
Place it in a microwave and cook for 5 minutes in high mode.
Serve the sweet and tasty suji/
semolina
halwa when it cools.
