  • Spinach(chopped, Cheera) - 2 cups
  • Shallots(sliced, Kunjulli) - 1 cup
  • Coconut(grated) - 1 1/4 cup
  • Green chillies(slit lengthwise) - 7 nos
  • Pepper corns(ground) - 7 nos
  • Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 1 inch
  • Cloves(crushed, Grambu) - 7 nos
  • Cummin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/4 tsp
  • garlic(crushed) - 1 dsp
  • Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Vinegar - 1 dsp

Instructions
  1. Extract coconut milk by adding 1 1/2 cup water to the grated coconut. Keep this aside.
  2. Take a frying pan and pour oil.
  3. Heat the oil and fry cinnamon, cloves, ground pepper and cummin seeds.
  4. Lower the heat and add crushed garlic. Keep stirring for some time.
  5. Add turmeric powder and chilly powder. Fry on low heat.
  6. Add the minced beef and required salt. Saute for sometime till water comes out.
  7. Now, close the pan with a lid and cook for sometime till the water dries up completely.
  8. Remove the lid and add chopped spinach. Saute for sometime.
  9. Add the extracted coconut milk and place back the lid.
  10. Cook on low flame until the gravy has thickened and the beef is cooked.
  11. Add vinegar and mix.
  12. Minced beef with spinach is ready and serve hot.
