Mor Sambhar

Mor sambhar is a different sambhar made with mangoes. It can substituted with white pumpkins also. First we need to grind a masala paste that is suitable for the sambhar and then we add curd dal and the paste to get this sambhar. This sambhar best goes with white rice.

Ingredients
  

  • toor dal (cooked) 1 cup
  • cut mangoes 1 cup
  • tomato 1
  • red chilli 3
  • dhania 1 sp
  • fenu greek 1/4 sp
  • sesame seeds 2 sp
  • channa dal 1 sp
  • coconut 2 tbsp
  • curry leaf few
  • beaten curd 1/2 cup

Instructions
 

  • In water add cut mangos and tomato
  • separately fry and grind chilli, dhania, fenu greek, sesame seeds, channa dal, coconut and curry leafs
  • now add the cooked dal to it
  • now add the ground paste
  • as it boils add well beaten curd to it
  • simmer the flame for 5 mins and serve.
