Mulaku Koottan
Hot n tangy recipe
Ingredients
- 1 no Onion finely chopped, large
- 3 nos Green chillies
- 4 - Curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida Kayam
- Salt As reqd
- Jaggery A small piece, Sharkkara
- 1 tbsp Coconut oil
- Tamarind pulp A lemon sized, Puli
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Saute the onion and green chillies.
- When the onions turn brown, add curry leaves followed by red chilly powder, coriander powder, asafoetida and salt.
- Saute for a min.
- Add tamarind pulp.
- When it thickens, add the piece of jaggery.
- :- Serve with idli, dosa or even rice.
