Mulaku Varatha Puli | Milagu Varutha Puli is a 2 minutes curry for rice. Milagu Varutha Puli is prepared with tamarind juice and sharkara. This nice recipe is provided by Ramya V.
remya, ur pkd recipes r wonderful, this recipe came out well. can u pls post the recipe of `vendakka puli` as made in palakkad. if u cud, that`ll b a great help for me. thanks.
Tasty taditional puli. If 1/2 tsp of both ginger & garlic & 1/4 tsp pepper powder & 2 0r 3 dried red chillies (vatil mulakku) edichathu instead of green chillies are added it gives a good flavour and taste.
It was wonderful surprise,i was so happy to see this dish`s recepie in a website, for all these years i thought this is our family`s secret recipe.Try this folks you will definetly enjoy this.good work ramya
It was a pleasant surprise to see this typical Palakkad dish on a culinary website……..I simply love this dish and my grandmom was a true expert at it .I think what made her mulakuvarutha puli more interesting was the small amount of jaggery she added at the end.Try that folks , am sure you would enjoy it.
Justin didnt like this dish. Its ok friend. I dont know what to tell you at this stage. But mulaku varutha pulli is a excellent dish combination for steamed rice.
in my opinion, this is the most appetizing curry in the world. whenever this curry is made my rice consumption will double or even triple.such is the taste that only plakkadan origins can relish.i have read that big stalwarts like kps menon v.k.k menon and many more malabarians when they reach home after a long stint at foreign countries the first thing the ask their mother for is mulakuvaruthapulli for luch or dinner.it combines well with fried curd chillies and also with drumstic leaves curry in moog dal (cheuparippu).
Loved this recipe!!!My grandmom from Palakkad used to make this dish very often. This dish with rice and pappadum used to be her comfort food.I just tried this recipe and it brought back a flood of memories.Thank you very much, Ramya. ?Could you please post some more Palakkad recipes?
