Muringapoo Thoran or Drumstick Flowers Stir Fry is an awesome dish in South Indian Cuisine. Drumstick and drumstick leaves you would have heard quite well. Have you heard of Drumstick Flowers? If the answer is "No" then i strongly suggest you should try this healthy and tasty dish with a distinct flavor. Drumstick trees are quite familiar and you will note a tree in the backyard of almost all houses. Muringapoo Thoran is moderately spiced with the goodness of drumstick flowers which shrinks considerably in quantity, It is learnt that Drumstick flowers helps to reduce weight gain, lowers cholesterol and blood pressure and improves energy levels. So, as usual, I tried to make a recipe with the Drumstrick flowers and coconut as main ingredients and found it very tasty. It tastes wonderful with a resemblance to stir fried clams meat.
