Instructions
  1. Murrels are more slimy than other fishes. Wash thoroughly until the slime is totally removed. Cut them into round pieces.
  2. Grind one cup onions, coriander seeds and poppy seeds into a fine paste.
  3. Apply this paste, ginger-garlic paste and required salt to the fish pieces and marinate.
  4. Take a deep bottomed pan, add oil and heat. Add the remaining onions and fry until brown. Add tomato pieces, red chilly powder, turmeric powder and the drum-stick pieces. Sstir well and fry until the tomato pieces are tender.
  5. Now add the marinated fish pieces, enough salt and fry in medium flame, gently turning the fish pieces for about ten minutes.
  6. Add some water, mix the contents well and cook until the fish is totally cooked. Best with rice.
