Instructions
  1. Wash and soak rice in water for atleast 4 hours.
  2. Drain water and grind rice with green chillies adding required water.
  3. Grind pottu kadalai and add the grinded powder to the dough.
  4. Add salt, cumin seeds or Ellu and butter to the dough and mix well.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Insert dough in murukkacchi and role it spirally to any desired shape on a plastic paper or banana leaf coated with oil.
  7. Take the murukku from the paper and deep fry in the oil.
  8. Turn it occasionally so that both side gets cooked well.
  9. When the sound goes down, take the crispy murukku from oil.
