Murungakkai Kathirikai Pirattal

Murungakkai kathirikai Pirattal is kind of curry can be made with or without coconut paste which goes very well with rasam and curd rice or it can be mixed with the white rice. The drumsticks and brinjal makes the best combo for preparing any dishes. The veggies are cooked with grounded spicy coconut mixture.

  • Tamarind powder 1/2 tsp -

  • mustard 1/4 tsp -
  • broken urad dal 1/4 tsp -
  • curry leaves 1 sprinkle -
  • TO GRIND -
  • green chili 2 no. -
  • Red chili 4 no. -
  • fennel seed 1/2 tsp -
  • coconut 1/4 cup -
  • Roasted peanut 1/4 cup -
  • Garlic 4 no. -
  • Ginger : small piece -
  • Tamarind small ball -

Instructions
  1. Take all the Grind ingredients and grind it to the smooth paste
  2. Heat the oil in the kadai and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and curry leaves
  3. add onion and saute it until it turn brown
  4. Add tomato and stir fry it
  5. add murungakkai / drum stick, saltow and mix it
  6. add brinjal and mix well
  7. add 1 glass of water and cook it
  8. add grinned masala and turmeric powder and mix well and allow to cook for until the murunggakai and kathirikkai get cooked well with the masala
  9. now murungakkai kathirikai pirattal is ready to serve
