Mushroom Chettinadu is very tasty and little bit spicy Veg masala recipe. If you are a Vegetarian, you must try this chettinad kaalan masala recipe. It's an alternate for Non Veg chettinad masala recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • Mushroom 1 cup
  • Bengal gram 3 tsp
  • urad dal 3 tsp
  • coriander seed 2 tsp
  • black pepper seed 1 tsp
  • peanut 3 tsp
  • red chili 3 no.
  • cumin seed 1 tsp
  • onion 1 no.
  • tomato 1 no.
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • mustard 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves 1 sprinkle
  • coriander leaves to garnish

Instructions
 

  • Take bengal gram, urad dal, black pepper seed, and coriander seed
  • add peanut and dry roast it
  • add red chili and cumin seed, mix it ad turn off the flame, and allow to cool
  • once it get cooled, make a fine powder by grinding it
  • in a kadai heat the oil and temper the mustard
  • add curry leaves, onion and saute it for 3 mins
  • add tomato and mix well
  • add mushroom and mix it
  • add the masala powder and mix it
  • add required water and allow to cook the masala and mushroom
  • cook until it becomes thick gravy
  • Now mushroom chettinadu is ready to serve, garnish with coriander leaves
