this is my own recipe. usually we do usli in veg but i tried with egg. this came out well and crispy too

  • Egg - 2
  • Dry chili - 2
  • Curry leaves(little) -
  • Red chili powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt(as taste) -
  • Oil - 5 tblsp
  • Channa dal - 1 tsp
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Asafeotida - 1/4 tsp

Instructions
  1. Soak toor dal for 1-2 hours
  2. Now grind coarsely toor dal with dry chili and add little salt
  3. Now grease idly pan, add toor dal mixture and steam for 10 mins
  4. In bowl beat egg with salt and chilli powder
  5. Now grease oil and pour egg and steam for 5- 10 min
  6. Now allow to cool both and crumble it
  7. In pan add oil and temper mustard, channa dal, curry leaves and asafeotida
  8. Now add both dal and egg in pan cook for 10 min in low flame with some extra oil for more crispy
  9. Now its ready to serve Muttai Usli
