  • For preparing Mutton Brain Pepper Fry, first chop the onion, green chilli and curry leaves.
  • In a bowl add water, little salt and brain and boil for 5 mins.
  • In a pan heat the oil and temper the cumin seeds/jeera, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.
  • Add chopped onion and saute it until it turns brown.
  • Add green chilli and curry leaves and mix it.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and mix well until the raw smell goes out.
  • Add turmeric, salt, pepper, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala and mix well.
  • Cut the boiled brain into small pieces.
  • Now add brain in the masala and mix well until the masala blends well with the brain.
  • Allow it to boil for 5 minutes in a medium flame.
  • Now Mutton Brain Pepper Fry is ready to serve.

    This is Goat Brain. Mutton is the meat of a sheep, which we don’t have in South India.
