Mysore Bonda is a hot favorite snack from traditional Mysore cuisine. Mysore Bondas are fried dumplings made with flour, yogurt and spices. These bondas can also be prepared with stuffing like potato and mixed vegetables. But here we are preparing plain bondas that are mildly spiced. Mysore Bonda is crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. They make a delightful treat for our taste buds. These fried dumplings taste best as a evening snack with a cup of hot tea. Kids love these snacks and they taste best with chutney. This snack is very easy to prepare with limited ingredients. For health reasons you can substitute maida with atta. Ingredients
  

  • Maida : 1 cup
  • rice flour 1/4 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • cooking soda 1 pinch
  • butter milk 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds : 1 tsp
  • chopped ginger 1/2 tsp
  • green chilli chopped 1 tsp
  • grated coconut 1 tsp.

Instructions
 

  • For preparing the delicious bonda snack, take maida, rice flour, cooking soda, and salt together.
  • To this add cumin, chopped ginger, chopped green chilli and grated coconut.
  • Add butter milk to this and make a hard paste and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 mins, wet hands and make small dumplings. Deep fry in hot boiling oil.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney.
