Naadan Kozhi Varutharachathu | Chicken Varutharachathu is a delicious non vegetarian side dish with thick spicy gravy. The aromatic roasted coconut mixture boosts the flavor of the dish making it tempting. Naadan Kozhi Varutharachathu is unique and special with chicken pieces cooked in a fried spicy aromatic coconut mixture. For preparing the spicy aromatic dish, first heat oil in a pan and roast grated coconut, dry red chilly, shallots and fennel seeds until dark brown in colour. Switch off the flame, allow it to cool and grind it with little water to make a smooth fine paste.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker and saute onion until golden brown in colour.
When the chicken is well cooked, add ground coconut mixture, coriander leaves, curry leaves and bring it to boil. Add water if required to get the correct consistency of the curry.
Naadan Kozhi Varutharachathu is ready to serve. Serve it with porotta, ghee rice, chapathi etc..

I went through your recipe today. It needs a bit of amendment. Firstly, in the ingredients list, it states FENNEL seeds, but in the cooking instruction step 1 it states CUMIN seeds. Which one is right?
Adding the chicken to the sauted onion mix on step 5 has been missed out! Salt addition also has not been mentioned although it can be added at any stage.
