  • Dal(sambar parippu) - 1/2 cup
  • Onion(finely chopped) - 1 no
  • Tomato(chopped) - 2 no
  • Crushed red chillies - 2 tsp
  • Green chillies(sliced in half) - 3 nos

  • Salt(as reqd) -

Instructions
  1. For preparing Naadan Parippu Thakkali Curry, cook the Dal in pressure cooker with salt and turmeric powder, upto 3 whistles. Mash it and keep it aside.
  2. Splutter the mustard seeds in a frying pan in the oil.
  3. Add the curry leaves.
  4. Now add the finely chopped onion and green chillies and saute till the colour of onion changes.
  5. Add the crushed chilly to this and saute for about 1 min.
  6. Now add chopped tomatoes to this and saute till the oil appears on top.
  7. Add this to the mashed dal and add water(if there is enough water don`t add more). Bring it to boil.
  8. Adjust the salt and chilly before it boils. Remove from heat and serve Naadan Parippu Thakkali Curry hot with rice.
