Naadan Pavakka Thoran is prepared from bittergourd, a vegetable very largely cultivated and popular in Kerala. Instructions
  1. For preparing the healthy, nutritious dish, first soak grated bitter gourd in salted water for 5 minutes and then drain the water well.
  2. Mix the bitter gourd, coconut, salt, green chilli, onion and salt well with hand.
  3. Heat oil and add mustard. After the mustard splutters, add ginger.
  4. Now add the bitter gourd mix and stir well in low flame.
  5. Sprinkle little water, cover with a lid and let it cook.
  6. Cook till all the water has dried up and then remove it into a serving dish.
  7. Tasty stir fry or thoran dish is ready. Serve hot with rice for noon day meals.
