Nadan Chemmeen Curry

Nadan prawns curry is a traditional Kerala dish.It is a good dish for rice and chapathi.It is a yummy dish of gods own country.My husband and kid loves this traditional dish.Every one have to try this simple and easy dish.Prawns cooked in coconut and spices gives a authentic flavor.

Instructions
  1. First cook prawns with 1cup of water for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai add grated coconut,coriander seeds,red chill i and fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Add chili powder,turmeric powder and coriander powder saute for 2 minutes .
  4. Add small onions to this and saute for 2minutes,until it turns to brown color.Keep it aside.
  5. In another kadai add oil then add onions and green chilies saute for 2 minutes.
  6. Add tomatoes and saute for2 minutes.
  7. Grind the coconut mix in a mixer.
  8. Add this ground mix and cooked prawns to kadai.
  9. Add 1 cup water,tamarind juice and salt to this boil for 2 minutes.
  10. Now nadan chemmeen curry is ready to serve.Serve with rice.
