Wash brinjal and keep aside.Heat oil in a kadai and add cumin seeds and onions saute for 2 minutes.
Add green chilies to this and saute for 2 minutes.
Add washed brinjal to this add 1/2 cup water and cook for 5 minutes until they become tender and cooked. Add turmeric powder and salt and cook for 5 minutes..
Then add pepper powder and gram masala and saute for 2 minutes.
