North Indian Simple Carrot Halwa

Very easy and delicious halwa

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gms Fresh carrots peeled and finely grated
  • 1 cup Sugar 150 to 200 gms
  • 1 cup Ghee 175 gms
  • 1 cup Coconut powder/Milk powder
  • Cashew, raisins and pistachios (for garnishing)

Instructions
 

  • Add sugar to the shredded carrots and cook on medium heat.
  • Stir frequently.
  • Cook until all the liquid dries up.
  • Add ghee and stir fry for 2 - 3 mins.
  • Add coconut powder or milk powder and stir continuously.
  • Cook for 3 - 5 mins.
  • Garnish with cashew, raisins and pistachio.
