North Indian Simple Ras Malai A sweet made with milk powder 1 cup Milk powder (100 gm)1 no Egg (beaten)1/4 tsp Baking powder1/2 litre Milk4 - Cardamom1 tsp Kewra essensePista(chopped)Almonds(Badam) (chopped)Sugar (As reqd) Mix the milk powder with beaten egg and baking powder to form a smooth dough.Boil the milk with sugar and cardamom.Make small balls with the prepared dough and flatten it slightly to get a oval shape.Drop the balls into the boiling milk.Cover it with a lid.Check after a few mins to see if it has puffed.If it has, then, turn off the stove.Add the essence and chopped nuts.Keep it in the refrigerator for 4 - 5 hours before serving.:- Makes about 10 - 13 balls. easy to make YUMMY
it came out very well and tasted great. i added a little ghee too. so the taste was even more good. but the balls werent very soft. what do i do to get it soft?
