Instructions
  1. Wash and soak the basmati rice in water for 15 - 20 mins.
  2. Slice the onion and green chillies.
  3. Put the tomatoes in the boiling water. Close it for 5 mins, peel and grind it to a fine paste.
  4. Heat ghee/oil in a pressure cooker.
  5. Season spices.
  6. Add chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
  7. Add the green chillies and ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.
  8. Add the chopped coriander and mint to it and fry for few secs.
  9. Add rice and saute for a min.
  10. Add the tomato puree in 1:1 1/2 cup ratio.
  11. When it starts to boil, add salt and stir once.
  12. Pressure cook for 1 whistle.
