  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • Softened Margarine - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Eggs - 2 nos
  • Vanilla extract - 2 tsp
  • Walnuts - 1/4 cup
  • Orange Rind - 1 tbsp
  • Oatmeal( easily cookable oatmeal) - 1 1/2 cups

Instructions
  1. Grease cookie sheet and sift together dry ingredients.
  2. Beat together butter & sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Stir in flour mixture untill well moistened.
  5. Stir in oatmeal, nuts and rind.
  6. Drop by tsp fuls 2" apart.
  7. Bake at 350 F for 8 min.

with the given ratio of butter,sugar,no way can thsy be beaten till fluffy,i advise to try out the recipes before copying from somewhere and posting it
