  • Mushrooms(finely chopped) - 1/4 cup
  • Spring onions(finely chopped) - 1/4 cup
  • Milk - 1 1/2 cup
  • Butter - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 1 small
  • Green chilly(chopped) - 1 no
  • Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper powder(A pinch) -

Instructions
  1. For preparing oats with vegetable soup, melt the butter in a soup pot and add cinnamon, garlic paste, chopped spring onions, mushroom and green chilly. Saute till the raw smell goes.
  2. Add the vegetables and salt. Fry for 2 minutes and keep aside.
  3. Cook oats in 2 cups of water and add milk. Cook in low flame.
  4. Stir in the previously prepared vegetable mix. Mix and simmer for few minutes.
  5. Garnish is up to you. You can use fried bread pieces, fresh herbs, onion rings, pepper powder etc as garnish.
  6. Oats with vegetable soup, a low calorie soup recipe is ready.
