Reply Anjali November 17, 2005 - 12:00 amThis is a real traditional recipe……feels i am back in kerala. Reply Ramya Renjith January 19, 2007 - 12:00 amThis is one style of olan. Its not mandatory that the red beans be there in olan. Different parts of Kerala and even different communities have different styles of olan. In my community we have 2 styles – one with matthanga and payaru in coconut oil and another one with kumbalanga in thenga paal. Reply goodeats July 23, 2006 - 12:00 amWhat is traditional also changes from region to region even within kerala.I hail from Palakkad and we use vanpayar in our traditional olan recipe. Reply Mrs Thomas Verugeese June 21, 2006 - 12:00 amthis is blasphemy in the name of olan, lol, like the first two commentators Iam also asking, where is the red gram? But a very tasty recipe nevertheless ! Reply Leave a Comment Cancel ReplyRemember my details in this browser for the next time to post comment.
