For preparing the healthy breakfast dish, first soak white rice for 3-4 hours. Grind the soaked rice along with cooked rice and water to make a medium thick batter.
Add coconut, cumin seeds, small onions along with salt. Mix it properly and keep it aside for 10 -20 minutes.
Heat ottada tawa (mud pan is best) and pour one ladleful of batter. Cover and cook it for 5-7 minutes on medium flame.
We can see small holes once it is cooked. No need to flip them. The process of cooking is similar to Appam.
