Paalak Delight Wholesome dal with paalak 20 gm Red gram (Thuvaraparippu)20 gm Moong dal (Cheruparippu)20 gm Bengal gram (Kadalaparippu)Paalak (As reqd)10 nos Garlic pods (halved)Ginger (A bit)5 - Green chillies1/2 tbsp OilCumin seeds(Jeerakam) Mustard seeds1 1/2 cups Milk1/2 tsp SugarSalt (As reqd)Paneer (optional) Wash all dals and paalak.Place them along with ginger, green chillies and 1/2 cup of water in a pressure cooker.Pressure cook approximately for 12 mins.Cool it to room temperature.Grind 1/4 of the above mixture into a coarse form.Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Add crushed garlic.Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.:- If desired, you can add asafoetida also.Add the dal mix and stir.Slowly add milk.Add paneer pieces and boil it for 1/2 min.:- Serve with rice or rotis.
