  • Paalak(Spinach) - 250 gm
  • Onion(big) - 1/2 of
  • Bay leaves(Karuga/Vazhana ela) - 2 nos
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Cinnamon(Karugapatta) - 2 small
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Butter - 1 tsp
  • Pepper - 1 tsp
  • Salt(As reqd) -
  • Oil - 1 tbsp

  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Butter - 1 tsp
  • Pepper - 1 tsp

Instructions
  1. Heat the oil in a pan.
  2. Add the cinnamon and bay leaves.
  3. Add the coarsely chopped onion and fry for 2 mins.
  4. Add the washed spinach leaves.
  5. Reduce heat to sim and saute for 5 mins or till the spinach is wilted.
  6. Remove from fire and keep aside to cool.
  7. Blend the mixture in a blender or mixer with little water.
  8. :- Remove the bay leaf and cinnamon stick before blending.
  9. Return the paste to pan and add the amount of water required to your desired consistency.
  10. Bring to boil.
  11. Add milk, pepper and salt.
  12. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 mins.
  13. Add butter.
  14. :- Serve hot.

It is lovely and delicious, I admit was a bit apprehensive about trying it, but it tasted too good, now we have it once a week. keep up the good work
