  • Scrape the skin of the snake guard and remove the seeds. Wash it and chop into small pieces. Take all other ingredients and keep it ready.
  • Cook the above ingredients in water with turmeric powder and salt as required. You can also cook toor dal separate in a pressure cooker.
  • Grind grated coconut to make a smooth paste and pour it into curry and let it boil.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard, dry red chilly and curry leaves. When it starts spluttering turn off the flame.
  • Mix it with curry and serve.
