Instructions
 

  • Add thinly sliced onion and potato in a wide bowl.
  • Add all the spices and salt as required.
  • Add besan and rice flour.
  • Add oil and egg.
  • Mix well adding more besan or water as required. Consistency should be such that the batter can be dropped into spoonful in the hot oil.
  • Heat oil in a wok or kadai. Drop spoonful of the batter in the hot oil, and fry till golden brown in color on both sides.
  • Serve along with mint chutney.
