Palappam
one of the most popular traditional Kerala breakfast breads that goes well with
green peas
, kadala curry, chicken curry, fish curry,
potato
mappas etc

Ingredients

Rice flour
2
Tablespoon
Sugar
Salt
a pinch
1
tablespoon
Yeast
1
cup
Coconut
Water
required amount
Instructions
Mix yeast and
sugar
with 1/4 cup of
water
and keep it aside for ten minutes.
Take 2 spoons of rice flour and mix it with required amount of
water
and boil the same in a low flame to make a smooth paste
Add the same to the rice flour and grinded
coconut
mixture
Mix the same as a dough by add required amount of
water
/
coconut
milk
and 1 spoon of
sugar
and yeast solutions and keep it aside for 10 to 12 hours.
Before making appam add 1 spoon of
sugar
and a pinch of
salt
for taste.
Take a appam pan and pour the dough and make tasty appams.
Appam is ready.
