  • Pressure cook whole green gram dal.
  • Cut onions lengthwise(thin pieces) and tomatoes into small pieces.
  • Heat butter in a pan.
  • Add ginger, garlic, cloves and cinnamon. Fry for few minutes.
  • Add onions and fry till it becomes soft.
  • Add chopped tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle turmeric powder, coriander powder and chilly powder.
  • Pour 1/2 cup of water with the cooked green gram dal.
  • Add coconut, salt and sugar. Cover the pan and bring it to boil.
  • Finally, add paneer cubes and cook for few minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
