Boil water adding some turmeric powder and turn off fire. Immerse paneer cubes in it and keep aside. This process prevents the paneer cubes from breaking while cooking. Then drain paneer cubes and shallow fry in some oil.
Boil water in another vessel, adding salt and add soya chunks to it. Close with a lid, turn off fire and keep aside for 10-15 minutes. When soya chunks soaked well, squeeze it from the water and cut each chunk into halves. Keep aside.
Place kadai on fire, add vegetable oil and splutter cumin seeds.
