  • Chana dal(Kadala parippu) - 3/4 cup
  • Urud dal(Uzhunu parippu(black variety) - 1/4 cup, Uzhunu parippu) -
  • Toovar dal(Thuvara parippu) - 1/2 cup
  • Green chillies - 3 nos
  • Red chillies - 6 nos
  • Asafoetida(Kayam) - 1 pinch
  • Salt - 4 tsp
  • Gingelly oil(As reqd) -

Instructions
  1. For preparing parippu ada, soak ingredients: boiled rice, channa dal, urad dal and toovar dal in water for 3 hours.
  2. Grind this mixture with green chillies, red chillies, asafoetida, salt and curry leaves. This should be a semi thick solid.
  3. Pour the batter in non-stick pan in round shape with a ladle and pour gingelly oil around it.
  4. Turn both sides and cook.
  5. Parippu ada is ready.
