Pasta Curry

A mouthwatering delicacy

Ingredients
  

  • Whole wheat pasta : 1 cup
  • Tomato : 2 small, finely chopped
  • Onions : ½ nos , finely chopped
  • Capsicum : ¼ nos, cubed
  • Carrot : 1 no , cut longitudinally
  • Peas : handful (frozen or fresh)
  • Coriander leaves : handful
  • Mustard : 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds : 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder : 1 tsp
  • Chilly powder : 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala : 1 tsp
  • Garam masala : 1/2 tsp
  • Rose mary : 3 tsp
  • Salt : to taste
  • Oil : 3 tsp
  • Lemon juice : 1 tsp
  • Water : 2 cup

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  • When the oil is sufficiently hot, add the mustard and cumin seeds.
  • When they start spluttering, add the onions.
  • Fry until the onions turn translucent and then add capscicum. Fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add the carrots next. Fry for a minute more.
  • Then add the tomatoes and peas. Add salt and fry until the tomatoes are cooked.
  • Now add chilly powder, garam masala, cumin powder and chaat masala and fry for a minute.
  • Add the pasta, water and close the lid.
  • Cook until 3 whistles and open after the steam is completely released.
  • Stir in the coriander leaves, lemon juice and rosemary.
  • Serve hot.
  • :- You can add any vegetables of your choice to make it more healthy.
  • Add a tsp of cheese while serving to give a cheesy taste.
  • Add more Italian herbs if you like the taste.
  • It tastes better if it slightly watery than the regular pasta.
