Pavakka Mezhukkupurati or Bitter Gourd Stir Fry is a simple dish, prepared in South Indian Style, served usually with hot rice meals. The tasty stir fry dish goes well with hot rice and ghee, curd rice, rasam rice and sambar rice. This is one of the easiest side dishes that can be quickly prepared with limited ingredients. Working mothers and bachelors who are very busy in routines can note down the dish. Usually kids do not like the bitter flavor. You can remove the bitterness of the veggie to some extent by soaking in some diluted curd for a few minutes before preparation. This healthy stir fry is a good source of vitamin c. The healthy veggie regulates blood sugar levels and so it is desired to include Pavakka Mezhukkupurati at least once a week. If you are a lover of pavakka then go ahead with this recipe.
