  • Ripe firm pear(cored) - 1 no
  • Red oakleaf lettuce(small, leaves separated) - 1 no
  • Walnut halves(unsalted) - 1/4 cup
  • Ricotta cheese - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice(As reqd) -
For pear dressing:
  • Fresh pear(canned with 1 tbsp liquid reserved) - 1 no
  • Red wine/balsamic vinegar - 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper(freshly ground) - 1/2 tsp

Instructions
  1. Cut the pear into few segments. Place this in a bowl.
  2. Add lemon juice and toss(this prevents pears from turning brown). Keep this aside.
  3. To prepare pear dressing, place pear, liquid, red wine or balsamic vinegar in a blender. Make a puree and keep aside.
  4. Arrange the lettuce leaves in a serving platter. Top with the tossed pear. Drizzle the salad with the pear dressing.
  5. Scatter the top with walnuts and ricotta cheese.
  6. Pear walnut salad with ricotta cheese is ready.
