Pearl Spot-Karimeen Fry
Pearl spot fish marinated in a mixture of lemon juice,
red chillies
, other ingredients and later deep fried

washed and drained

As reqd
For preparing marinade:

Shallots

Pepper corns

cloves
Garlic

Dry
red chillies
Salt
As reqd
Instructions
For preparing pearl spot/karimeen fry, first make slits on the drained karimeen pieces and smear lime juice over the fishes.
Meanwhile grind together shallots, pepper corns,
garlic
, dry
red chillies
and required
salt
to a smooth paste.
Apply the marinade on the karimeen and keep aside for 1 hour.
Heat
oil
in a frying pan and deep fry the karimeen on both sides till golden brown in color.
Pearl spot/karimeen fry, a tasty and nutritious recipe, is ready. Serve hot with
onion
rings.
