  • For prearing Pesara Purnalu, first soak green gram dal in water.
  • Grind green gram dal into a thick batter along with little salt and water.
  • Make idlis using this batter.
  • Once idlis are cooked, grate or crush them.
  • Add grated coconut to it. Keep idli coconut mixture aside.
  • Heat water and sugar and make the sugar syrup to a string consistency.
  • Add the grated mixture of idli and coconut to this and make small sized balls. Keep aside.
  • Soak black gram in water for some time and make a paste of black gram dal and rice flour.
  • Dip the balls in the paste and fry Pesara Purnalu to a golden brown color.
