Instructions
  1. For preparing the delicious, spicy dish, first chop the onion, green chilli, red chilli, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  2. In a pan, heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and bengal gram.
  3. Add green chilli, red chiili, and onion and saute it.
  4. Add salt and rice batter and mix well.
  5. Allow to boil for few mins in medium flame until water evaporates and the mixture has become a dough.
  6. Now add curry leaves and coriander leaves and mix it.
  7. From the thick rice batter mix, make shapes like pidi kozhukattai.
  8. Heat the kozhukattai in a steamer and boil for 15 mins. Apply some oil on the steamer plates so that the dough will not stick to the bottom. After cooking, let the rice dumplings cool a bit.
  9. Now the spicy favorite is ready to serve. Relish the delicious dish. Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
