Instructions
  1. Cook chopped pineapple by adding chopped green chillies, salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  2. When it is done, mash it well.
  3. Grind together coconut, cumin, mustard, shallots and turmeric powder into a fine paste and mix it with mashed pineapple along with sugar.
  4. :- Add 1 tsp sugar first and check whether it is sufficient. If not, you can add some more sugar.
  5. Keep it on a low flame till it reaches slight thick consistency.
  6. Remove the dish from fire and beat in 2 cups of thick curd.
  7. Check salt and add more if needed.
  8. Heat oil in a pan and splutter half tsp mustard seeds.
  9. Add dry red chillies and saute 2 tbsp chopped shallots till it turns golden brown.
  10. Add curry leaves and pour this seasoning over the dish.
  11. :- Pineapple pachadi is ready to be served.
  12. :- This is one of the main dishes of traditional Kerala feast.
