Pista Halwa is a very simplified version of the famous halwa.Pista Halwa has a mild nutty flavour and attractive colour, both of which make it very tempting. This Halwa is mildly flavoured with cardamom, and tastes good as such.

  • Soak the pista in hot water for 15 mins
  • Remove the skin
  • blend it into smooth paste by adding milk
  • In a pan add pista paste, sugar and ghee ans mix it
  • add cardamom powder and stir continuously
  • add besan flour, ghee and oil and stir it for 15 mins in low flame
  • keep stirring until it thickens and is non-sticky
  • heat the ghee in the pan and fry the mixed nuts and transfer to the halwa and stir it.
  • now pista halwa is ready to serve
