Pista Halwa

Pista Halwa is a very simplified version of the famous halwa.Pista Halwa has a mild nutty flavour and attractive colour, both of which make it very tempting. This Halwa is mildly flavoured with cardamom, and tastes good as such.

  • milk 1/2 Glass -
  • besan flour 1/4 cup -
  • Sugar : 1/2 cup -
  • Ghee: 3 tbsp -
  • Oil: 1 tbsp -
  • Cardamom powder :1 tsp -
  • mixed nut 1 tbsp -

Instructions
  1. Soak the pista in hot water for 15 mins
  2. Remove the skin
  3. blend it into smooth paste by adding milk
  4. In a pan add pista paste, sugar and ghee ans mix it
  5. add cardamom powder and stir continuously
  6. add besan flour, ghee and oil and stir it for 15 mins in low flame
  7. keep stirring until it thickens and is non-sticky
  8. heat the ghee in the pan and fry the mixed nuts and transfer to the halwa and stir it.
  9. now pista halwa is ready to serve
