Poha Easy A spicy North Indian dish with Beaten rice (Poha/Aval) 2 cups Beaten rice (Aval/Poha)1 no Onion (chopped, medim)1 no Potato (chopped, medium)2 nos Green chillies (chopped)2 tbsp Peanuts (Nelakadala)1 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeerakam)1/2 tsp Chilly powder1/4 tsp Turmeric powder1/2 tsp Coriander powderSalt (As reqd)1/2 tsp Sugar1 tbsp Oil1 tbsp Lemon juiceFor garnishing:-2 tsp Coriander leaves (finely chopped)2 nos Masala papad roasted on fire2 tbsp Khatta meetha namkeen Take beaten rice in a sieve and wet it under running water.Keep it aside to drain out excess water for a minute.Add chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt into it and mix well.Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Add peanuts and fry for a min.Add onion and potatoes and saute well for 2 mins on a medium flame.Add chopped green chillies and cumin seeds.Saute and cook the potatoes.Add the beaten rice and lemon juice.Saute well on a low flame.Switch off the flame before it starts sticking to the pan.Add sugar and saute once.Garnish with chopped coriander, crushed papad and namkeen.:- Serve hot.
